they are rather scarce here in the library: books from Africa. but i found one, from an author from Kenya: Meja Mwangi. the book's original title is "Bushtrackers" - it's set in a wild life reservoir, and is anything but idyllic.
interesting surprise: i checked out Mwangi's webpage, and as it turns out, the first novel he wrote is named: "Kill me Quick" - the very drink that also is part of our group writing project. and i thought the drink is invented.
ah, life. stranger than fiction.
