moon & a sky stroll from Winter Solstice to the Last Full Moon & into the New Year

moon and windwheels
yesterday we went for an afternoon drive to the Alb plateau - and up there, beyond a long curve, a sky panorama opened, with the moon in its middle, and windwheels at the horizon.

inspired by the moon and the turning of years, i visited some horoscope pages - here's a sky stroll:

Winter Solstice and New Year
When the Sun moves into Capricorn on December 21, 2012, it also marks the Winter Solstice and the beginning of our return to the light: "On this darkest night of the year, a cycle of the Mayan calendar ends, but life on Earth grows stronger and brighter as we move forward into the longer days of winter and the most serious sign of the zodiac.
The Sun in Capricorn is a time of determination, when we set new goals for the New Year and begin working harder to reach them. From the moment the Sun moves into Capricorn until New Year's Day of 2013, we'll celebrate the hectic holidays and the arrival of winter by reflecting on the past year, learning from its lessons and looking to the future with renewed hope." Last Full Moon
The last full Moon of 2012 occurs on Friday, Dec. 28, in which the Moon opposes the Capricorn Sun. "The Moon is in Cancer, its home sign — the sign of nourishment, maternity, the home and the emotions. ..  Full Moons, no matter how groovy they look on paper, are still oppositions. They are accompanied by emotional tension, sensitivity and the sense that it all has to do with ‘the other’ — and this one involves Pluto. This is a caution not to overreact, and a suggestion to go deep.." (link)

Year of the Black Water Snake
According to the Chinese Horoscope, the year of the black Snake begins on February 10th shortly after the New moon in Aquarius, the humanitarian of the zodiac: "This 2013 year of Snake is meant for steady progress and attention to detail. Focus and discipline will be necessary for you to achieve what you set out to create." (link).
