remembering Sweden, or: wind water land

yesterday i blogged about a book - "Mountainfit" - a field diary from a bird observatory in Scandinavia. and it was only while blogging about it and looking for photos set in that region that i fully realized: it's in Sweden, in a land i've been to myself, once, for a couple of days. i guess it was the photos that made me remember a walk there, on one of the remoter islands, a place of wind and water.

ah, memories.

and here's the rational memory, in form a map: that was my route back then, and the photo below is Stockholm. but what really remained in my memory are those tiny white flowers, growing on a stone, surrounded by salt water.
